This vintage ashtray was designed by Edith Heath for Heath Ceramics. Heath was founded in 1948 in Sausalito, California where it still is in operation today. Placing an emphasis on quality, simplicity and consistency, has made vintage pieces like this matte brown ashtray highly coveted. Heath dinnerware is still used by Alice Waters for her inconic Berkeley restaurant Chez Panisse.
